Today, the European Parliament, Member States and Commission reached an agreement to reform the system for approving cars before they go on sale and checking them when on the market. While the agreement does not fully solve the issues with CO2 emissions of cars, it represents progress compared to the current, flawed system.

Today, a consumer delegation of The European Consumer Organisation (BEUC) and its Bulgarian member Асоциация Активни потребители (Association Active Consumers – BNAAC) handed over its recommendations for the upcoming Bulgarian EU Presidency to Deputy Minister for Economic Affairs Alexander Manolev. For 6 months, starting on 1 January, Bulgaria will assume the EU’s rotating presidency and be responsible for seeing through a number of important draft consumer laws.

Four global and European consumer organisations today presented their recommendations to make consumer rights, privacy and security core features of the Internet of Things.
