An electricity market that delivers to consumers

About this publication
Electricity is an essential service for consumers. However, millions of households are struggling to pay their energy bills and many still find it difficult to understand basic elements of the energy market like their bills and what are they paying for, their offers and how to get a better deal or how to exercise their rights when something goes wrong.
In addition, several consumers are exposed to unfair practices such as unilateral price increases or unilateral contract terminations. To restore trust and to help consumers better engage in electricity markets, consumers need better rights and protections.
