Panel debate: Will EU fuel consumption measures restore trust among consumers?

On Tuesday 15 March, BEUC, together with AK Europa and ÖGB, organises a panel debate about car fuel consumption.
The event, taking place in the Austrian Permanent Representation in Brussels, will discuss the benefits of a reformed vehicle testing system for consumers and the environment.
The panel will also discuss the findings of a new study by the Vienna Chamber of Labour (AK) concerning the impacts of too optimistic fuel consumption claims by carmakers on consumers in Austria.
Speakers include: MEP Karin Kadenbach, Nikolaus Steiniger from DG GROW and Günther Lichtblau from the Environment Agency Austria.
