The European Consumer Organisation (BEUC) and the Alliance of the Lithuanian Consumer Organisations are organising an event in Lithuania to explore the problems of public health policies in the Central, Eastern and Southeastern European countries.

Participants will look into what the EU can do to reduce the gap between Eastern and Western Member States. The conference aims to bring together representatives of Health ministries, Members of national Parliaments, patient, consumer and industry representatives. 

Dr Vytenis Andriukaitis, the European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety will deliver the keynote speech.

The event will take place on 25 January 2019 from 9.00 to 14.30 in Vilnius, Lithuania.
