Greening Corporate Fleets Initiative - an opportunity to widen consumer access to cheaper second-hand electric vehicles

In this letter, we – BEUC, Transport & Environment (the EU’s leading clean transport NGO), and the Climate Group (the leading global initiative bringing together fleets committed to electrification) – call on the European Commission to set out its proposals for the Greening Corporate Fleets Initiative.

The faster company cars are electrified, the faster households will be able to access more affordable second- and third-hand electric vehicles. This is a win-win for the climate and consumers.

The three organisations urge for binding zero emission purchase targets for corporate fleets of 50% in 2027 and 100% in 2030.
