“Leveraging Consumer Advice & Partnerships” – A Training Workshop for Consumer Professionals

We’re excited to invite you to apply to be part of our NEW multi-session online workshop on “Leveraging Consumer Advice & Partnerships” – A Training Workshop for Consumer Professionals.

This project is part of the Europe wide “Consumer PRO” - an initiative of the European Commission and EISMEA, implemented by BEUC - to build the capacity of the European consumer movement.

IS THIS WORKSHOP FOR YOU?

This workshop is for you/your colleagues if you’re interested in:

  1. Exploring advisory communication skills and how to effectively respond to challenging interactions with consumers e.g., where consumers are experiencing anger and upset, recognise signs of adviser burnout and discover strategies to avoid.

  2. To explore the specific needs of vulnerable consumers and explore ways in which to establish local community partnerships, with a focus on vulnerable consumers.

  3. Being part of an informal consumer professional network to share similar consumer advice concerns and help each other through the exchange of best practice.

WHERE & WHEN WILL THE WORKSHOP TAKE PLACE?

It will take place online, over Zoom.

Friday 24th March: 09.30 – 12.30
Wednesday 30th March: 09.30 – 12.30
Friday 31st March 2023 09.30 – 12.30 / 14.00-15.30 (NB there are two sessions this day)

WHAT TO EXPECT?

This event will include a variety of sessions, involving guest expert speakers, interactive presentations, and breakout group sessions, to give you a chance to network with and share your own experiences, questions, and challenges with other consumer professionals from around Europe.

WHO CAN APPLY?

The training is open to staff or volunteers working for Consumer Organisations, National Authorities or European Consumer Centres (ECC) in the EU, Norway, and Iceland.
We kindly ask you to select staff member(s) in your organisations who, as a priority, would benefit from the training.

IS THERE A FEE TO ATTEND?

No, the workshop is free to attend.

PLEASE CONSIDER BEFORE APPLYING: Whilst the workshop is part of an EU-funded capacity building project, the training is similar in quality and value to other trainings available on the market. Moreover, the workshop has been designed in a way that each day’s session will set you up for the next day and will include several follow-on style exercises with other group participants. Therefore, for you and your peers to get the most out of the workshop, please only apply if you can attend the ENTIRE event and please make sure to already pencil the dates in your agenda.

We really look forward to receiving your application!

HOW CAN I APPLY?

Please complete this short application form by Sunday 5th March 2023.

As places are limited to 30, a selection process will take place to ensure we have a balance of profiles, seniority, and geography. Your application form will remain a key determinant in this process.

HOW WILL I KNOW IF I HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED?

You will receive an email from info@consumer-pro.eu informing you of your selection shortly after the deadline.
