Forbrukerrådet (translates as ‘The Consumer Council’) is an independent organisation who defends all consumers in Norway. Annually it helps approximately 100,000 consumers via phone and e-mail. Forbrukerrådet also works to strengthen the political interests of consumers.

The Norwegian government’s longstanding investment in the consumer sector since 1953 has guaranteed and maintained a high level of protection and a strong emphasis on the safeguarding of Norwegian consumers.
