The EU institutions have reached an agreement to extend roaming rules which will bring further benefits to consumers. The existing rules are one of the EU’s most recognised successes by consumers and would have expired at the end of June 2022.

Member States have formalised their position on the Digital Services Act (DSA) and the Digital Markets Act (DMA), two landmark pieces of legislation to create a safer and more competitive digital space and to tackle the platform economy. The position by Member States carries both beneficial and negative points for consumers.

According to a new study released by BEUC (The European Consumer Organisation) today, heat pumps will be the cheapest green heating option for consumers. They will be both more affordable and convenient for consumers than hydrogen, which is the only other non-fossil fuel solution.

The European Parliament’s lead, Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO) committee has reinforced proposed legislation (the Digital Markets Act) that would prevent tech giants from engaging in unfair behaviour in digital markets and so benefit consumers.
