Sustainable food communication contest launched

How to best communicate to consumers when it comes to healthy and sustainable food choices? Sending a clear, truthful and attractive message can sometimes be a challenge for organisations, be they governmental institutions, businesses, or NGOs.  

Our Italian member Altroconsumo has launched a contest calling on interested parties to showcase existing campaigns focusing on the topic. Named Healthy and Sustainable Food Consumers Communication’, the contest is held in the context of the Expo Milano 2015, which has made ‘Feeding the planet, Energy for life’ its motto.

The three best communication projects will be awarded in Milan on September 25th, 2015. The ceremony will close a high level conference on sustainable food1 jointly organised by Altroconsumo and BEUC.

Eligible applications will be assessed by an independent jury made up of communications experts and representatives. Jurors include BEUC’s President, Örjan Brinkman. The selected finalists will be invited in Milan to present their projects before the vote takes place.
