‘Consumer Classroom’ competition for young Europeans Opens

BEUC NEWS - 27.03.2015

Consumer Classroom, the multilingual consumer education platform for teachers has launched a Europe-wide inter-School Competition called “Digital Content: enjoy and protect yourself!”.

The competition is open to secondary schools (12-18 year old students) across the European Union until 24th April 2015, midnight (Central European Time).

Entrants are invited to submit projects such as an interactive lesson, a website page, a video or a taped role-play.

Nowadays, digital content is everywhere: teenagers can easily access free or pay for online products, especially music, movies, e-books and games. Awareness of their protection while accessing or buying digital content is important. Entrants can focus on any of a variety of subjects, e.g. personal data protection, consequences of legal and illegal digital content use, young consumer vulnerability, national access differences around Europe, etc.
